Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, organized an international training course on “Development of Agricultural Resilience Capacity through Water Management with Climate Smart Irrigation System” during 18 – 30 July 2022 via an online platform. Participants who attend the course not less than 80% and received an E-certificate were 12 participants from 9 countries (Bhutan, Burundi, Cambodia, Iraq, Myanmar, Oman, the Philippines, South Africa and Timor-Leste). Organized under TICA’s Annual International Training Course or AITC framework, this course aims to share knowledge and skills necessary for water management in the agricultural system in the context of Climate Smart Irrigation (CSI). In addition to the main concept of irrigation development and water management in the context of climate change, the importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from irrigation so as to improve and maintain climate resilience and get familiar with the concept and implication of smart farming and IOT for modern irrigation systems.
