Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), in cooperation with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University, organized an international training course on “Food Safety and Security from Animal Origin: Strengthening the Network for Sustainability” during 1 – 19 August 2022 via an online platform. Participants who attend the course not less than 80% and received an E-certificate were 27 participants from 12 countries (the Philippines, Mozambique, Maldives, Timor-Leste, Cambodia, Bhutan, Thailand, Malawi, Argentina, South Africa, Azerbaijan and Somalia). Organized under TICA’s Annual International Training Course or AITC framework, this course aims to build an understanding of the production chain of animal-origin food and its safety control in the food security constraint and to share best practices of food quality assurance and surveillance systems including meat inspection and other products and also to apply food standard and policy in the international trade framework.
