Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), in cooperation with Mekong Institute, organized an international training course on “Food Safety Quality Infrastructure for Market Access for Developing Countries” during 14 – 25 March 2022 via an online platform. Participants who attend the course not less than 80% and received an E-certificate were 11 participants from 6 countries (Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Timor-Leste). Organized under TICA’s Annual International Training Course or AITC framework, this course aims to examine the international agreements and standards under the World Trade Organization (WTO) and other international bodies related to global trade in food and agricultural products. It stresses the importance of ensuring sound national infrastructure to support food safety control, compliance with those international regulations and trade facilitation.
